It’ll be 182 days since Southside Jamaica Queen’s very own DeVaun “Unique” Lee last stepped in to the squared circle, everyday counted for a fighter who is hungry for the taste of victory again. Things have changed surely within that time but the focus is there, better than before, the thirst has not been quenched just yet, DeVaun Lee is making the official move 8lbs north of middleweight to take on the battle tested Brandon Robinson.
Robinson who is signed by Marshall Kaufman’s Kings Promotions is a 12-2 with 9KO boxer from the outskirts of the fighting city of Philadelphia, it is not brotherly love he will be looking for May 10th in his hometown, but redemption from a stoppage loss two fights ago. Lee is in a similar predicament, after a questionable decision loss to Vaughn Alexander; he joined The Contender series and put on one of the best fights of the show against eventual runner-up Shane Mosley Jr losing by KO, furthermore taking on another show participant in the final episode, he lost a close decision to knockout artist Tyrone Brunson. Currently at 10-5-1 with 5KOs, Lee is at a crossroads in his career, understanding that he needs to catch fire once again to boost himself further at the age of 32; he is looking to take this opportunity for all it’s worth to remove Robinson from his path and earn a W once again.
