The Young All Star does it again! DeVaun “Unique” Lee ups his record to 9-2-1 4KO’s as he picked apart and stopped the more experienced Giovanni Lorenzo (37-8 28KO’s) in the fourth round, in front of a raucous home town crowd at the Resorts World Casino in Queens, NY. Lee who is currently the New York State middleweight champion, started the fight cautiously, using his defense to avoid the big punching Lorenzo who looked to charge his younger foe from the onset. Establishing his own pace, jab and rhythm; Unique did what he does best, using angles to create and capitalize on his opponent while looking like the more seasoned professional.
As the rounds wore on, Lee was more comfortable and Lorenzo looked to be a bit worried of the Southside Jamaica native’s power, as he ended the third round getting hit while being unable to land anything substantial in the closing seconds. The fourth started like the third ended with a confident Lee pushing forward and going for the kill. With his back to the ropes the two middleweights traded shots, with the longer Lee getting under his opponent’s left hook and landing a right of his own right on the temple of Lorenzo; removing him from his senses and sending him down. Unable to get up from the vicious knockdown, the referee had no choice but to end the bout in the middle of the fourth round awarding DeVaun “Unique” Lee the TKO victory!

The co-feature of the evening was an eight-rounder that saw Queens native Devaun Lee (now 9-2-1, 4 KO’s) score an impressive fourth round TKO over former World Title Challenger Giovanni Lorenzo (now 37-8, 28 KO’s), from Washington Heights, NY via the Dominican Republic. The action was hot from the outset as both fighters traded freely until the 4th round as Lee caught Lorenzo with a devastating combination that forced the referee to call a halt to the action.
